Preferred Credit Utilizes Touchtone’s Wintouch eCRM

October 1, 2001 – Costa Mesa, CA – Touchtone Corporation announced that Preferred Credit, Inc., a leading indirect consumer lender recently implemented Wintouch eCRM to manage company-wide client contact and tracking.

Greg Windfeldt, VP of Operations for Preferred Credit, said, "Our Company has many different clients with different products, different needs, and different issues, and we wanted a cost-effective system that would let every part of our company know what might be happening with a particular client."

Critical to the decision process for Preferred Credit was the fact that Touchtone’s Wintouch eCRM runs on the IBM iSeries. "That had been a sticking point with other vendors," Windfeldt said. Wintouch, a Web-based AS/400-specific solution, provides a robust customer relationship management package at half the cost of other CRM products. Wintouch eCRM is accessible by any Java-enabled browser and can be fully customized and integrated within two to eight weeks.

Wintouch utilizes a native DB2/400 database to provide quick, easy and seamless back-end enterprise and ERP integration. Web-based implementation eliminates client installation, saving time and cutting costs on upgrades. Powerful search capabilities allow virtually any combination of data fields to be selected for onetime or periodic Boolean searches. Integrated mail and email expedite single or merge group template communications, automatically logging client contact and scheduling follow-up activities. Integrated emulation provides quick access to enterprise 5250 terminal emulation applications from the Wintouch eCRM desktop.

Wintouch also features flexible GUI customization enabling the enterprise, departments or end users to simply "drag and drop" fields for additional customization. Flexible design allows front-end database fields to be determined, grouped, organized, presented and named to meet the unique needs of each enterprise. Language localization is a simple "table entry" process, not a programming process. Scalability enables virtually limitless customer and contact records, or database fields.

Wintouch eCRM is secure – all database information resides on the enterprise server, with ID and password transmission encrypted and required for access. No database records reside on the end user preventing unauthorized electronic copying of valuable customer data. Wintouch offers the unique ability to quickly link one "contact" to many "accounts" (i.e. a consultant) without entering the contact information separately for each account. This same feature also enables an activity or sequence of activities to be scheduled for many account contacts from one entry.

Following a demonstration, Windfeldt said, "it appeared that Wintouch had what we were looking for at a cost we could afford." Touchtone quickly customized the interface for Preferred Credit’s legacy system. "Implementation was as smooth and as simple as any implementation I’ve ever gone through," Windfeldt continued. "Our employees pull up Wintouch first thing in the morning and can schedule their activities. Our staff really likes this, especially being able to assign tasks and then being sure that the tasks get done."
